Remote control

POWER:
Switches the unit ON or OFF.
OPEN/CLOSE:
Opens and closes the disc tray.
0-9 numerical buttons:
Selects numbered options in a
menu.
TV Control Buttons:
You can control the sound level, input
source, and power switch of your TV.
AV/INPUT:
Changes the input source (Tuner, AV1-3).

Selects the recording mode.

Selects a thumbnail picture.
CHP. ADD:
Inserts a chapter marker when playing/record-
ing.
PLAY MODE:
Selects a play mode.
CLEAR:
Removes a track number on the Program List.
TITLE:
Displays the disc’s Title menu, if available.
TV/DVD:
Press to switch between ‘TV mode’, in which you
get the picture and sound from the TV’s tuner, and ‘DVD
mode’, in which you get picture and sound form this unit.
Setting up the remote to control your TV
You can operate your TV with the supplied remote control.
If your TV is listed in the table below, set the appropriate
manufacturer code.
While holding down TV POWER button, and press the man-
ufacturer code for your TV with the numerical buttons (see
the table below). Release the TV POWER button to com-
plete setting.

Depending on your TV, some or all buttons may not function on
the TV, even after entering the correct manufacturer code.
When you replace the batteries of the remote, the code number
you have set may be reset to the default setting. Set the appro-
priate code number again.
