This section describes the PIM commands used for IPv4 and IPv6. Note
that PIM can run on an IPv4 network and PIM6 on an IPv6 network
simultaneously. Also note that Internet Group Management Protocol
(IGMP) is used for IPv4 networks and Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD)
for IPv6 networks.
