performs preventive maintenance when changing
user-replaceable consumables.

LexExpress warranty.
Service pricing:
Lexmark offers different types of extended war-
ranties for the T430dn, including a one-year
LexExpress extended warranty ($79), a two-year
LexExpress extended warranty ($149), a three-
year LexExpress extended warranty ($249), a
LexOnSite Exchange first-year upgrade ($89), a
one-year LexOnSite Exchange extended warran-
ty ($149), a two-year LexOnSite Exchange ex-
tended warranty ($279), a three-year LexOnSite
Exchange extended warranty ($449), a LexOn-
Site Repair first-year upgrade ($49), a one-year
LexOnSite Repair extended warranty ($139), a
two-year LexOnSite Repair extended warranty
($269), and a three-year LexOnSite Repair ex-
tended warranty ($419).
LexExpress, Lexmark’s overnight-exchange ser-
vice, includes free telephone support, air express
delivery of an exchange printer the next business
day and a prepaid shipping label for the defec-
tive printer (or Lexmark will provide shipping
costs for the printer to be repaired and returned,
rather than exchanged, at the user’s discretion).
LexOnSite Exchange, Lexmark’s next-day on-
site exchange service, includes free telephone
support, a prepaid shipping label for the defec-
tive printer, air express delivery of an exchange
printer the next business day and dispatch of a
Lexmark-trained technician to install the re-
placement printer. LexOnSite Repair, Lexmark’s
next-day on-site repair service, includes free tele-
phone support and dispatch of a Lexmark-trained
technician (usually the next business day) for on-
site printer repair.

Good. The Lexmark T430dn is bundled with a
printed setup guide, quick-reference sheet and
two CD-ROMs. The first CD-ROM contains the
drivers and utilities (MarkVision, IP Setup utility,
Status Window); the second CD-ROM contains
the user’s guide, setup guide and quick-reference
sheet in PDF format.
Ease of use:
Good. The Lexmark T430dn is easy to use from
the desktop via the well-laid-out PCL 6 and Post-
