ADF paper load error Paper Load Error Technical Support Center:
Make sure the paper is in good condition. See
“Media guidelines” on page 1-27 . Load paper
correctly in the ADF input tray.
Service:
Load paper. If the problem remains, then check the
paper sensor; if the paper sensor is okay, then
check and/or replace the system board. See
“System board removal” on page 4-32 .
Cover open Printer Cover Open Technical Support Center:
Close the ADF/scanner assembly properly. Turn off
the printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait for
10 seconds, then turn on the printer. If the problem
remains, then replace the printer.
Service:
Go to “Cover open service check” on page 2-70 .
Ink tank door open Ink Cartridge Access Door Is
Open Technical Support Center:
Inspect the ink tank door for any damage and if it is
dislodged. Close the ink tank door, and check if it
can be properly closed. Turn off the printer by
unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10 seconds,
then turn on the printer. If the problem remains,
then replace the printer.
Service:
Check the ink tank door sensor flag and spring.
Check the sensor cable for damage, and reseat the
sensor cable. See
“Ink tank door open service
check” on page 2-76 .
Input tray removed Paper Tray Removed Technical Support Center:
Remove the tray, and inspect for any damage.
Check if the tray can close properly. Turn off the
printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10
seconds, then turn on the printer. If the problem
remains, then replace the input tray.
Service:
Go to “Input tray removed service check” on
page 2-77 .
