Make sure the paper is in good condition. See
“Media guidelines” on page 1-27

correctly in the ADF input tray.
Service:
Load paper. If the problem remains, then check the
paper sensor; if the paper sensor is okay, then
check and/or replace the system board. See
“System board removal” on page 4-32

Technical Support Center:
Close the ADF/scanner assembly properly. Turn off
the printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait for
10 seconds, then turn on the printer. If the problem
remains, then replace the printer.

Ink tank door open
Ink Cartridge Access Door Is
Open
Technical Support Center:
Inspect the ink tank door for any damage and if it is
dislodged. Close the ink tank door, and check if it
can be properly closed. Turn off the printer by
unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10 seconds,
then turn on the printer. If the problem remains,
then replace the printer.
Service:
Check the ink tank door sensor flag and spring.
Check the sensor cable for damage, and reseat the
sensor cable. See

Input tray removed
Paper Tray Removed
Technical Support Center:
Remove the tray, and inspect for any damage.
Check if the tray can close properly. Turn off the
printer by unplugging the power cord. Wait for 10
seconds, then turn on the printer. If the problem
remains, then replace the input tray.
