Remove scan unit shipping retainer or
carrier bracket

OptraImage 212/222, 312/322, Color 1200, T612

Remove the shipping retainer before using the scan unit.

Return the shipping retainer
to its original position before
moving the scan unit. For
more information, see
“Moving the scan unit” on
page 83.

Place the scanner on its side.

Remove the retainer screw.

Pull out the shipping retainer, and put it in the “use” position.
