Install Drivers, Control Software, and Cubase
®

1. Insert the DVD into your DVD-ROM drive. The Installer should start
automatically.
If the Installer doesn't start automatically, you can start it manually by
opening the approprate file on the DVD:

InstallationMenu.exe
2. Once the Installer is open, follow the on-screen instructions to install
the software you wish to use.
Note: You must install the IO FW810S Drivers and Control Software
to use the FW810S. You must also install Cubase
®
LE to follow the
steps in this tutorial.
The latest drivers can also be downloaded from www.lexiconpro.com.
Set Up Windows
®
Audio and MIDI (Optional)
When the Drivers and Control Software were installed, Windows may have
automatically selected them as your default audio and MIDI outputs. This
means that your Windows sounds will be sent to the FW810S rather than
your computer’s sound card. If this is not desired, you can check if these
have been changed and return the settings to what they were before.
Windows

XP:
Select Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio Tab.
Set the default recording and default playback device to your PC'S onboard
sound card and click apply.
Under MIDI Music Playback > Default Device, open the pull-down menu
and make sure Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth is selected as the default
device (XP only).
Windows

Vista/7
Select Start > Control Panel > Sounds. Set the playback and record device
to your PC’S onboard sound card, to do this, highlight the PC’S onboard
sound card and click use default.
