The humidifier provided with your weather station includes two function modes:
the manual mode and the automatic mode.
• In manual mode, press the “Humidifier On/Off” key to switch on or switch off the
humidifier. If the “Led On/Off” button is on the “On” position, the humidifier LED is
switched on while the humidifier is operating. When the unit is turned on, it will
operate until you press the “Humidifier On/Off” key again, or until the water tank is empty.
• In automatic mode, the humidifier starts automatically for 20 minutes if the indoor
humidity level sinks below 35%. If the “Led On/Off” button is on the “On” position,
the humidifier LED is switched on while the humidifier is operating. If you press the
“Humidifier On/Off” key when the unit is off and the automatic mode has been
selected, the humidifier will start for 20 minutes. Press the “Humidifier On/Off” key
again at any time to switch the device off.
Note:
In automatic mode, once the humidifier has stopped, it will wait for 10 minutes before
checking the humidity level again and will restart if the reading is too low.
Warning:
• If the humidifier and main unit are separated, the humidifier only operates in manual mode.
• When the integrated no-water sensor detects that the water tank is empty, the humidifier
cannot be activated manually and will not start automatically. If the LED has been switched
on, it will flash until the tank has been refilled. Refill the water tank regularly.
Humidifier function mode setting (manual/automatic)
1. In normal mode (idle screen), press the MODE/SET key once to choose the
humidifier function mode.
2. Use the and keys to select the automatic (“AUT” / ) or the manual mode
(“MAN” / ).
3. Press the MODE/SET key to confirm your selection and go to the channel setting.
Note:
After a few seconds of inactivity, the unit will go back to normal mode.
CHANNEL SELECTION
The SM2000 comes with one remote sensor. The sensor’s default channel is channel 1.
You do not need to change it. However, if the sensor (or the main unit) is too close to
other electrical devices, interference may cause malfunction. Use the channel selector
located inside the sensor’s battery compartment to change the channel and improve
the reception. Then select the matching channel on the main unit (refer to the “Channel
setting” section below).
Channel setting
1. In normal mode, press the MODE/SET key twice to go to the channel selection
setting mode.
2. Use the and keys to select the desired outdoor channel between the
3 available channels ( , or icons). The selected channel must be the same
as the one chosen for the remote sensor with the channel selector. If the channels are
different, the main unit will no be able to receive the data sent by the sensor.
3. Press the MODE/SET key to confirm your selection and go to the temperature display setting.
Note:
• After a few seconds of inactivity, the unit will go back to normal mode.
• If the sensor is exposed to very low temperatures for an extended period of time, the
batteries may lose power which may cause the transmission range to be limited. High
temperatures also reduce the battery performance.
The channel function allows you to use up to 3 additional sensors. The main unit can
identify each remote sensor thanks to their assigned channel (channel 1, 2 or 3). If you
have one or two additional sensors, you can place them in a different location in your
house; in a bedroom, for example. Your main unit can collect the temperature and
humidity data of up to three remote sensors.
