6. Continue to tighten each screw the same number of turns so the metal ring is drawn up
against the bottom of the countertop evenly. Continue to tighten each screw until the snug and
until the head of the screw is fully seated in each countersunk hole.
7. Press on the top of the OB-2-CT-SP cover in several directions to be sure there is no
movement of the cover.
8. Plug the 20 AMP corded plug into the 20 AMP receptacle.
9. Press the push button down fully to release the latch holding the lid of the cover down. While
holding the push button down, pull the lid of the cover up to a 90-degree angle and inspect the
GFI receptacle inside the box. A glowing green light indicates that the receptacle is functioning
properly. DO NOT USE the GFI receptacle if the green light is not glowing.
10. When in use, the push button should be in the “Safety” position. In this position the cover
is open at approximately a 30-degree angle and is locked in place at that angle. When not in
use, the cover should be fully closed and the push button should be in the “close” position.
