have a size of 128 bits. Therefore, IPv6 has a vastly enlarged address space
compared to IPv4. An example of an IPv6 address is

Subnet Mask here; The subnet mask was the forerunner of the modern IP address
prefix length. For example a subnet mask of 2 55.255.255.0 conveys exactly the same
