Connect the connection cable (machine interface) to the safety sensor and
connect it to the machine control components as described in the original
operating instructions.

Step 5: Align and start up MLD530 muting transceiver

Switch on the safety sensor.

Adjust the height of the safety sensor and the Deflecting Mirror. After the
Allen screws are loosened 1 , the devices can be slid easily into the slot.

Adjust the axial alignment of the safety sensor and the Deflecting Mirror.
After the Allen screws

have been loosened, the entire column with the
built-in device can be rotated slightly.
Step 6: Align and start up muting sensor sets
A: Position the sensors/reflectors.

Loosen the duct cover 1 and the Allen screw 2 .

Position the sensors/reflectors by moving in the axial direction 3 .

After aligning, retighten the Allen screw 2 .

Cut the duct cover to the appropriate length and remount

B: Align the sensors and reflectors.

Loosen the two Phillips screws

Turn to set the correct angle of the sensors/reflectors 5 .

After aligning, retighten the Phillips screws 4 .

The optimal alignment has been achieved when the green LEDs on the
muting sensors illuminate!
Step 7: Edit
Checklist – prior to the initial start-up

Start up the machine or system according to the original operating
instructions of the safety sensor.
