Holding brake configuration

Tip!

If you use a motor without a holding brake, you can skip this chapter.

In the GDC, the parameters or codes to be set can be found in the parameter menu under

When Ctrl1.Bit7 = 0 (FALSE), the brake is closed.

Only after this time has elapsed, the controller inhibit is activated.

The time required for opening the holding brake.

l

During the time set the drive generates the torque set under C0244
against the holding brake.

l

If an actual speed higher than the value in C0472/10 is detected before the
brake opening time (C0196) has expired, the drive can immediately change
to speed−controlled operation.
