2.6 Safety Characteristics
All ThinkSystem RAID adapters and HBAs meet or exceed the requirements of UL flammability rating 94 V0. Each bare
board is also marked with the supplier name or trademark, type, and UL flammability rating. For the boards installed in
a PCIe bus slot, all voltages are lower than the Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) 42.4V limit.

LED 4 ROC Over-temperature This yellow LED stays solid on to indicate that the SAS3516 or SAS3508
device temperature sensor is over temperature threshold. When the
device is in the proper temperature range, the LED is off.
LED 2 System heartbeat This green LED indicates that the SAS3516 or SAS3508 ROC ASIC is
operating normally. This LED blinks at 1 Hz.
LED 3 Dirty cache This green LED indicates the cache is dirty (not yet saved to the
storage devices).
LED 5 Supercapacitor fault LED. This yellow LED indicates that the supercapacitor pack is in fault state.
LED 6 Open NAND Flash Interface
(ONFI) activity LED This green LED indicates when the ONFI interface is active for either
cache offload or recovery.
LED 7 Expander heartbeat LED This green LED indicates that the expander is operating normally.
