Installing the ultra dock

This section provides information on how to connect the ultra dock to your notebook computer, how to install
and uninstall the device driver, and how to hang up the ultra dock.

Installing the device driver on Windows operating systems

To install the device driver on the Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 operating system, do the following:

1. Go to http://www.lenovo.com/support/docks and select

ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock

.

2. Locate and download the installation file for the device driver.

3. Double-click the installation file, and then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the

installation.

4. Restart your computer after the completion message is displayed.

After you have installed the device driver, you can connect the ultra dock to your notebook computer.

Connecting the ultra dock to your notebook computer

This section provides information on how to connect the ultra dock to your notebook computer with the
provided power adapter, power cord, and USB 3.0 cable.

Note:

Install the device driver before you connect the ultra dock to your notebook computer.

To connect the ultra dock to your notebook computer, do the following:

1. Connect the power adapter to the power cord.

2. Connect the power plug of the power cord to an electrical outlet.
