Heat Sink The heat conducting sheet metal can be connected to the top of chips to absorb heat such as
microprocessor; by which to make chips work under lower temperature.
Modem Abbreviated for modulator and demodulator The Modem converts the analog data into the
digital data or vice versa to enable computers communicate via the modem cable.
P&P It is usually known as Plug & Play or PNP which is a kind of technology that automatically
configures the device at startup to use or share certain IRQs. For this technology to work
normally, both BIOS and Operating System of the computer must support PNP, and all
devices to be configured should be compatible with PNP. PCI devices are compatible with
PNP.
