To run LCD Self Test:
Ensure that the computer is connected to ac power. Then, press the power button for about seven seconds
to turn off the computer.
Press Fn, left Ctrl, and the power button at the same time. If the computer displays five solid colors in
sequence across the entire screen, it indicates that the LCD functions normally.
The test lasts for about 20 seconds and then exits automatically. You also can press the power button to exit
the test.
Remove the system board, USB board and cables
Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
“Remove the lower case” on page 30
“Remove the battery pack” on page 31
“Remove the solid-state drive (SSD), thermal pad and bracket” on page 32
“Remove the fan” on page 34
“Remove the heat sink” on page 35
“Remove the LCD module” on page 37
