Step 1. Press release buttons at either side of the front cover.
Step 2. Pull the cover forward and remove it from the server.

After you remove the front cover:

• If you are instructed to return the front cover, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging

materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

• If you are planning to recycle the front cover, follow the instructions in “Disassemble the front cover for

recycle” on page 268 for compliance with local regulations.

Install the front cover

Install the front cover by sliding the cover into position and pressing until it is fully seated.
