Step 6. Connect the Controller to the Drive Backplane on an Enclosure
Use cables to connect the controller to the drive backplane of
an enclosure that contains SAS devices, SATA devices, or both.
Refer to Section 2.4, “Connecting a ServeRAID-M5110
SAS/SATA Controller to a Drive Backplane on an Enclosure” for
details about connecting the controller to the enclosure.
Step 7. Turn on the Power to the System
Reinstall the computer cover and reconnect the AC power
cords; then, turn on the power to the computer.
Make sure that the power is turned on to the SAS devices and
the SATA III devices before or at the same time as the host
computer. If the power is turned on to the computer before it is
