Step 1.
Remove unit access panels.

TEV SENSING
BULB FACTORY
LOCATION
Step 2.
Locate and remove TEV
sensing bulb from factory location.
Step 4.
Properly position TEV sensing bulb
on suction line and fasten bulb to line.
Step 3.
Relocate TEV sensing bulb to
external suction line.
NEW LOCATION (OUTSIDE OF CABINET)

ON LINES SMALLER THAN ⅞”,
INSTALL THE SENSING BULB
BETWEEN THE 9 O'CLOCK
AND 3 O'CLOCK POSITIONS.
ON LINES ⅞” AND LARGER IN DIA
METER, INSTALL THE SENSING
BULB IN EITHER THE 4 O'CLOCK
OR 8 O'CLOCK POSITION. NEVER
INSTALL THE SENSING BULB ON
THE BOTTOM OF THE LINE.
NOTE - Never install the sensing bulb
on the bottom of the line.
Step 5.
Apply insulation over the suction
line and TEV sensing bulb. Use tape or
cable ties to secure the insulation.
NOTE - Route copper away from sharp edges.
Make sure that copper refrigerant lines do not
touch other metal surfaces (end plates, brazed
connections, etc.). Metal-to-metal contact may
transfer vibration or cause damage.
