APPLICATIONS
This mitre saw is intended for cutting wood and analogue materials.
This mitre saw is not designed for cutting firewood
,
tree limbs or logs, metal and non-ferrous metal, steel.
ASSEMBLY AND INTRODUCTION
CAUTION:
To prevent accidents, make sure to turn the switch off and disconnect to the plug from the power receptacle.
1. Transportation (Fig 3, 4 & 5)
CAUTION:
- Always secure all moving parts before carrying the tool. If parts of the tool move or slide while being carried, loss
of control or balance may occur resulting in personal injury.
- Lift the mitre saw only when the saw arm is locked in the down position, the saw is switched off and the plug is
removed from the power point.
- The mitre saw must never be used with the release knob (
19
) locking the head down.
The release knob (
19
) is provided for holding the cutting head down while transporting or storing the mitre saw.
- Lower the handle fully and lock it in the lowered position by pushing in the release knob (
19
) in position
B
(Fig 3).
- Tight the slide lock (
18
) (Fig 4).
- Only lift the saw by the operating handle (
20
) (Fig 5) or by holding both sides of the tool baseouter castings.
Do
not lift the saw using the guards
.
2. Installing the machine
The mitre saw base (
13
) has holes in each corner to facilitate bench mounting.
- Place the mitre saw on a level, horizontal bench or work table using and fix the saw to the bench using 4 bolts
(not supplied).
- If desired, you can mount the saw to a piece of 1/2” (13 mm) or thicker plywood which can then be clamped to
your work support or moved to other job sites and re-clamped.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the mounting surface is not warped as an uneven surface can cause binding and inaccurate
sawing.
3. Installing the mitre lock handle (Fig 6)
- Slip the miter lock rod into the rotating table arm and screw the handle (
15
).
CAUTION:
After changing the miter angle, always secure the turning table by turning the miter lock (
15
) clockwise.
4. Installing the extension table bars (Fig 7)
The extension bars (
16
) can be installed on both sides of the base.
- Slip the rods into the holes of the base and adjust their length according to the workpiece to be held.
- Tighten the extension bars securely with the screws (
21
).
CAUTION:
Always support a long workpiece so it is level with the top surface of the turning table for an accurate cut and to
prevent dangerous loss of control. Proper workpiece support will help avoid blade pinch and possible kickback
which may result in serious personal injury.
5. Installing the vertical clamp (Fig 8)
The vertical clamp (
17
) can be installed in two positions on either the left or right side of the base.
- Insert the vise rod into the hole in the base.
