1 INTRODUCTION

The LELY LOTUS 460 and 520 are rotary tedders that are used for
tedding mown grass and spreading out windrows. The tedders are
equipped with the STABILO steering device.

The LOTUS tedder is equipped with 4 rotors. Each rotor is fitted with
six tine arms featuring double spring steel tines (fig. 1). The special
tine shape ensures that the crop is picked up and spread out with a
minimum loss of material.

Since the rotors can pivot in relation to one another, the LOTUS ted-
der can follow field undulations with ease.

Ground contours are followed without any problem because the
wheels are positioned closely behind the tines (fig. 2).

Due to the STABILO steering device, the LOTUS tedder behaves like
a trailed machine. The steering device has been designed in such a
way (four pivot points, fig. 3) that any deviations made by the ma-
chine are corrected quickly.

Hydraulic controls ensure that the machine can be folded up quickly
and simply.
