Before first Use.
Read and follow ALL the instructions, even if you feel you are familiar with the product,
then retain the instructions for future reference.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the sections containing IMPORTANT
SAFEGUARDS” and “FOR YOUR SAFETY” statements.

Important Safeguards.
When using an electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always be
followed:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons or property:
Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and
rating indicated on the product “rating label”.
Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children. Keep
out of reach of children when not in use.
Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product
malfunctions, or is dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete
product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product or flexible
cord to rain moisture or any liquid other than those necessary for the correct
operation of the product.
This product should not he used in the immediate vicinity of water, such as a
bathtub, washbowls. Where the likelihood of immersion or splashing could occur.
Do not operate or place any part of this product on or near any hot surfaces(such as
a gas or electric burner or hot- plate or in a heated oven).
Switch off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or
disassembling parts and before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug-do not pull
on the cord.
Avoid contacting hot surfaces,
Do not use the appliance for other than it's intended purpose.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
The use of attachment or accessories not recommended or sold by the product
distributor may cause personal injury or other hazards.
This product is intended for normal domestic/household use only.
How to use your hot plate
Before using your Hot Plate for the first time. Turn the Hot Plate on the highest setting
for 3 to 5 minutes to condition the protective coating. This may initially result in some
excess smoke, but this is normal. This should be the only time the Hot Plate is turned
on without a cooking utensil on it.
For the most efficient operation of your Hot Plate the cooking utensils used should have
a solid base and be as even as possible, and a diameter of approx. 16 to 18cm and a
maximum capacity of 1 lt r (750W hot plate).
The base diameter of cooking utensils smaller than the diameter of the Hot Plate
should not be used.
Extra care should be taken using cooking utensils that project beyond the Hot Plate and
should NOT intrude into the area of close proximity of the controls.
Utensils with convex, concave or uneven bottoms should not be used. NO items other
than the cooking utensils should come into contact of the Hot Plate for long periods.
Operation of control dial
Turn the controls to the recommended position marked to achieve the desired
temperature. Use this guide as a reference.
IMPORTANT:
When not in use always turn controls to the "0" position and disconnect
from the power outlet.
1. For simmering of delicate foods, and thickening sauces,etc.
2. Slow cooking.
3. For simmering large quantities.
4. Shallow frying of meat and pan dishes,
5. To bring all dishes to a boil.
Please Note: the lamp will go off when the Hot Plate reaches temperature, and
will cycle on and off to maintain the temperature.
