The wheelchair driver has to establish
his individual tilting point by slowly
approaching the first upper step. In
general the tilting point is reached when
the wheelchair axis passed the edge of
the first step. Here the
Stairmax
should
be stopped and then it should be tilted by
shortly holding on to the handrail and
pushing the
Stairmax
forward.
Driving downstairs
Similar to driving upstairs, when driving downstairs it is most important to find the right
moment of tilting the whole
Stairmax
at the upper end of the stair.
