CONTROL AND MAINTENANCE
9.1
Security checks
Check the following points regularly, but at least daily:
•
The lift must not start if the access ramps are folded down or the barrier arms are open.
•
While the lift is in motion, the barriers must be closed and the access ramps must be raised.
If a raised access ramp hits an obstacle, the lift must stop immediately. The connecting
linkage between the barriers and the access ramps, which leads into the side wall, must be
in perfect condition (securely screwed on, no rope breakage).
•
The platform must stop automatically when reaching the stops.
•
When the travel command button is released, the platform must stop without a longer
overrun.
•
The emergency stop button must stop the entire system when actuated.
•
If an emergency call is available, it must always function.
•
The barriers must not be open during travel (test in the middle of the track).
•
Clean dust and dirt from the tracks at regular intervals.
•
Access to the drive or main switch must be kept free.
9.2
Cleaning
Please note the following points:
•
For safety reasons, always shut down the lift before cleaning.
•
Never use cleaning agents that require special ventilation.
•
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents to clean plastic-coated or painted surfaces.
•
Stainless steel surfaces are to be treated with commercially available cleaning agents, do not
use scouring powders.
•
The platform is to be cleaned with suitable cleaning agents. The control panel with its
controls should be wiped regularly with a duster. The panel itself can be cleaned of impurities
with a stainless-steel cleaner.
•
The push buttons must never be treated with cleaning sprays or the like (sticking of the
buttons is possible!). The floor should be wiped with a damp dust cloth.
•
Avoid wetness, especially with the operating elements (no splashing water)!
•
Further maintenance work may only be carried out by the manufacturer's staff or its
authorised persons!
