SA7529 Modular Installation Guide
The SA7529 modular radio is an embedded modular radio designed to be used only with our proprietary host devices.
The SA7529 cannot be used as a standalone device and is not intended to be sold to any outside of partnership parties.
The SA7529 Limited Modular Transceiver is installed inside host devices by mating it’s connectors to connectors on the
board of host devices. This information is provided in the diagrams and schematics not included in this manual.
The host PCB of this LMA design must not make any changes to connections or layout in order to assure compliance.
Any design changes will require re-evaluation and possible Permissive Change filing or even a new listing. This device is
specifically intended for use in one of two different host devices. They are one of two AC Powered boards that either acts
as a controlled Switch receptacle or a dimmer controlled receptacle. External AC Lamps are attached to the devices’ AC
receptacle via it's cord and AC plug. The host board also provides DC power to the LMA modular PCBA.
This module is to be installed into either the SA-7221 or SA-7222 host PCBA by mating its pins to the matching
receptacle on the host boards. Connection can only be made one way by the design of the host board.
The antenna is a PIFA type and is an integral part of the design. It is directly soldered to the board and may not be
substituted with another type. Gain must be 4.17 dBi or less to maintain compliance.
All host device’s connected to this LMA module must be tested to comply with FCC Part 15 B.
This design is intended for non-mobile applications. Any use in other than intended will require RF exposure testing.
There is only one vendor partnership authorized to use this item. Use by any other than Legrand/Dexatek is not
authorized. Any other installation use may require additional testing and/or certifications.
The Transmitter is a System on a Chip (S.O.C.) type that includes internal voltage regulators to maintain steady RF output
at all times. Additionally, an external regulator provides 1% regulation accuracy power to the RF S.O.C, IC.
This design does not feature a metal shield. Needed shielding is provided by the specific system design and any other use
may void authorization to use this device.
The SA7529 modular radio should not be installed within a system operating simultaneously with other transmitters.
The host system shall have a label showing: Contains FCC ID: YV8-SA7529, IC: 9922A-SA7529 following the
guidelines provided by the FCC or ISED regulations.
Guide d'installation modulaire SA7529
