NOTE: For increased cable access, the bracket features knockouts on both sides, the top, and the
bottom. If cabling runs behind the wall, cut a hole in the drywall and fish the cabling through the hole and
into the top of the bracket. If cabling is hung in front of the drywall, remove rectangular panel from cover
by cutting along scored lines with a utility knife.
B. Mounting
modules
1) Modules are mounted with four push pins (one in each corner of the module). Simply pull out the pins, seat
the module over the holes, and push in the push pins.
C. Incoming Service Cable Installation
1) Terminate incoming service Category 5 cable with RJ45 plug and snap into “Lines In” RJ45 jack in upper left
corner of 4x12 Telephone Module.
2) Connect incoming coaxial CATV cable to cable in ‘F’ connector on 1x4 Video Module.
NOTE: Always follow TIA-570-B wiring standards for installing and terminating Category 5 and coaxial
cable. Failure to follow the correct wiring standard could result in damaged equipment and/or electrical
interference issues. Maintain a minimum 12” separation between Category 5 cable and any 120VAC
cabling.
D. Outlet Cable Termination
1) Terminate outlet Category 5 cables with RJ45 plugs and route to specific jacks on 4x12 Telephone Module.
2) Terminate outlet coaxial cables with ‘F’ connectors and attach each cable to the appropriate connector on the
1x4 Video Module.
CAUTION: Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm. Never install telephone jacks in a wet
location unless the jack is specifically designed for use in wet locations. Never touch uninsulated
telephone wires or terminals unless the telephone line has been disconnected at the network interface.
Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.
WARNING: Do not use this product near water, for example, near a wash basin, laundry tub, or a wet
basement.
