YOUR GAME – YOUR RULES
The LEGO
®
Dice gives you the freedom to change the game and make it your own. You can change the playing
area, the pieces and even the rules. Every little change makes it more and more YOUR game.
The secret to changing a game is to change only one thing at a time. That way, you can see if the change makes
the game more fun. If it does, keep it and then try another.
Changing a game is always more fun when done together. That way everyone knows the rules and knows
what is being changed. Remember to make sure everyone playing is aware of any new rules
BEFORE
you start playing.
Now that you know how to play the game using our rules, try one of the following suggestions to change the
game, and then try to make a change of your own.
1)
The
fi
fth element
Use the bat to block other players
OR
to cast the winning magic spell.
Players now have two options when rolling black:
a) Steal one ingredient from another player of your choice,
AND
then place the bat on one of
the brown columns or rows to block others players from using that column or row,
OR
b) Take the bat, the bat is the
fi
fth spell ingredient you will need to be able to cast the winning
magic spell. Keep it by your recipe list.
Winning the game: The
fi
rst player to collect all four different ingredients on their recipe list
AND
be in
possession of the bat, casts the magic spell by mixing the ingredients in the magic cauldron, and wins!
2) Secret spell
Make your own ingredient list to cast the winning magic spell
• Remove the 16 recipe bricks from the recipe lists. Add the eight extra recipe
bricks that come with the set and pile all 24 recipe bricks in the centre of the table.
• Starting with the youngest player, each player takes three recipe bricks from the pile
until each player has six. Secretly place four of the recipe bricks onto your recipe list. Keep your recipe
list hidden. Then put the two remaining recipe bricks out of sight under the ingredients shelf.
• As you play the game, place the ingredients on the table in front of you instead of placing the
ingredients on your recipe list.
• The
fi
rst player to collect all the ingredients that matches his or her hidden recipe list shouts
“Magikus!!” and reveals his or her recipe list, showing they have won the game.
