LOD-EXTED-M20W Series Installation Guide
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: Read instructions carefully before attempting to install fixture.
•
All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician. All connections must be in accordance with the
requirements of the National Electrical Code.
•
Disconnect power before installing or servicing. This fixture must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical
Code and applicable local codes and ordinances.
•
Proper grounding is required to ensure personal safety.
•
The electrical rating of this product is 100
–
277 VAC. Installer must confirm that there is 100
–
277 VAC to the fixture
before installation.
CAUTION:

WARNING:
Risk of fire or electrical shock. Luminaire wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when drilling for
installation of LED emergency battery. Check for enclosed wiring and components.

WARNING:
Risk of fire or electrical shock. This LED emergency backup installation requires knowledge of the
luminaire electrical systems. If not qualified, do NOT attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.

WARNING:
Do NOT use outdoor.
•
WARNING:
This LED Emergency battery unit requires an un-switched AC power source of 100
–
277 VAC, 50/60Hz.
The AC driver must be on the same branch circuit as the LED emergency battery unit.

WARNING:
Do NOT let the power supply cords touch any hot surfaces.
•
WARNING:
Do NOT mount near gas or electric heaters.
•
WARNING:
Do NOT connect the battery pack connector until all other wiring is completed and the AC power is on.
•
WARNING:
Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it is not subjected to any tampering by
unauthorized personnel.

WARNING:
The use of accessory equipment is NOT recommended by the manufacturer and may cause an unsafe
condition.

Do NOT use this equipment for anything other than its intended use.
APPLICATIONS:
The LOD-EXTED-M20W emergency battery can be used with most LED loads that have a rated voltage of 25-48Vdc. This
emergency battery has been evaluated to and found compliant to UL924. The emergency pack assembly is accepted as a
component of a luminaire where the suitability of the combination shall be determined by UL or authorities. The as-installed
performance of the system must meet or exceed all Federal, State and local code requirements.
