OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Open the lid and add water to the unit. Do not overfill the unit. Water

may be added up to the “Full” line marked on the inner pot of the

unit. Note: do not drench the outside of the unit when adding water.

2.  Close the lid after adding water.

3.  Place the unit on a clean, stable surface and plug the unit into an

outlet. Once the unit is plugged in the power indicator light will

illuminate and heating will commence. The red “Heating” light

indicates that the unit is heating the water. The water will be heated

to a boil. The unit will then automatically switch to “keep warm”

and the heating light will go off, the “keep warm” light will then be

illuminated. If the water in the unit drops below the set temperature,

the unit will automatically switch back to “heating” until the water

reaches the set temperature. CAUTION: Steam from the steam vent is

hot, use caution around the unit when in use.

4.  Press the “unlock” button.

5.  Place cup under dispense spout and press the “dispense button” or

manually dispense water by pressing the “manual pressure” on the

top of the unit to dispense water. Once water has been dispensed

(about 10 seconds later) the unlock indicator light will go off and the

unit will lock again.

6.  Note: If an empty inner pot is heated, the overheat safety function (which

prevents an empty inner pot from being heated) will be activated, the

power will be shut off automatically to prevent the problems that can

occur due to overheating, the power will be on automatically when the

temperature declines. When the inner pot is heated with no water in it

or with the water level below the low water level mark, a bad smell may

be caused or the inner pot may become discolored. Please observe the

following:

• Do not connect the power without pouring water into the inner pot.

• Do not boll water when the level is below the Low water mark.

• After water is added, do not leave the lid open.

7.  CAUTION: Please often check the water level in the inner pot. Under normal

status, if an inner pot is being heated with no water in it very often or for a long

time, the inner pot will become discolored, a smell may be caused due to the rising

temperature of the main unit, the temperature fuse may be broken, and even

worse, a fire may be caused.

8.  After Use Pull out the power plug from the outlet. Pull out the power plug

from the main unit. Detach the lid. Drain the water from the drain mark until

you can see the drain mark. No water should be left in the inner pot.
