OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the lid and add water to the unit. Do not overfill the unit. Water
may be added up to the “Full” line marked on the inner pot of the
unit.
Note: do not drench the outside of the unit when adding water.
2. Close the lid after adding water.
3. Place the unit on a clean, stable surface and plug the unit into a
outlet. Press the Power On (Boil) button on the panel. The Boil
indicator light will illuminate and heating will commence. The water
will be heated to a boil. The unit will then automatically switch to
keep Warm and the Boil light will go off. The Keep Warm indicator
light will then be illuminated. If the water in the unit drops below the
set temperature, the unit will automatically switch back to boil, until
the water reaches the set temperature.
CAUTION: Steam from the
steam vent is hot, use caution around the unit when in use.
4. To use the Dispense Button press the “Unlock Button”.
5. Place cup under dispense spout and press the “dispense button” or
manually dispense water by pressing the “manual pressure” on the
top of the unit to dispense water. Once water has been dispensed
(about 10 seconds later) the unlock indicator light will go off and the
unit will lock again.
6. Note: If the unit is empty and heated, the overheat safety function (which
prevents an empty inner pot from being heated) will be activated. The
power will shut off automatically to prevent the problems that can
occur due to overheating. CAUTION: When the inner pot is heated with
no water in it or with the water level below the low water level mark, a
bad smell may be caused and the inner pot may become discolored. The
temperature fuse may break and a fire can occur.
Please observe the following:
. Do not connect the power without pouring water into the inner pot.
. Do not boil water when the level is below the low water mark.
. After the water is added, do not leave the lid open.
7. After use, pull out the power plug from the outlet. Pull out the power plug
from the main unit. Detach the lid. Drain the water from the drain mark until
you can see the drain mark. No water should be left in the inner pot.
