10 STORAGE PROCEDURES.
10.1 MONTHLY STORAGE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE.
1.
Check condition of paintwork ensuring that there is no bare metal and touch up
where necessary.
2.
Grease all lubrication points as laid out in the lubrication schedule.
3.
Check all hydraulic filters as laid out in the hydraulic maintenance procedures.
4.
Drain off any water in the power pack by removing drain plugs in the power pack
drip tray.
5.
Grease all exposed parts, (especially the lead screw and guide shafts on the
coiler).
6.
Lightly run power pack every 2 weeks for ½ hour and check all filters, etc. Then
connect the winch to the power pack and drive the winch backwards and forwards
for ½ hour and check oil flow rates, filter pressures, etc.
7.
Drain all water from the cooler by removing the drain plug.
Note: the A-frame can be stored in either the stowed or inboard working position.
10.2 START-UP AFTER STORAGE.
1.
Ensure system is fully greased, i.e. by carrying out the lubrication schedule.
2.
Inspect all electrical junction boxes for possible water / condensation build-up.
3.
Inspect all hydraulic hoses for inadvertent damage.
4. Inspect
structure
for inadvertent damage.
5.
Ensure all bolted connections are secure.
6.
Carry out Power Pack Start-up as detailed in System Operating Instructions.
