Remote Control of Sources (via Ember+)
Once the system is configured as an
, parameters can be published to the network from any
Source or Summing Bus.
On the Ember+ Provider
1.
Start by selecting the "Source" or "Sum Bus" element, and define the
Ember+Local Provider Nr
- for
example, select
1
to publish all available source parameters via
Local Provider 1
:
The published parameters include:
·
Type & Mode Information
·
Fader Functionality
·
DSP Functionality
·
Aux Bus Functionality
By assigning different provider numbers to different Source and Sum Bus elements, you can control certain
sources from external device 1, others from device 2 and so on.
2.
Check the
option (in the "System -> Definition -> Params = Ember+ Settings"
branch of the 'Tree Definition') and edit the corresponding name field accordingly.
If the option is set to
System name
, then the source will be published using its
Display
name. If the option is set
to
LCD Text / Alias name
, then the source will be published using its
Alias
name. In either case, the name must
be unique to ensure correct operation.
On the Ember+ Consumer
Published Source or Sum Bus parameters appear under the
Source
or
Sum Bus
branches of the Ember+
provider tree. The branch number represents the Source/Sum bus number (defined by the provider's
configuration); the ID string corresponds to the Source/Sum Bus name.
Note that you cannot see Sources or Sum buses which have not been published (by the provider), and each
Source/Sum Bus can only be assigned to one provider exclusively.
