Maintenance
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is
needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and
hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug the appliance
from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WaRning:
If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair.
This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
stoRage:
Allow appliance to cool before storing it away in a safe dry place
that is out of the reach of children. Never store it while still hot
or plugged into an outlet.
Never wrap the cord tightly around the unit.

hang the
appliance by the power cord and avoid pulling or straining
especially at the point where it enters the unit and at the
plug connection.

getting staRted
If necessary, attach the plates.
to attach:
1.
Be sure unit is unplugged and plates are cool.
2.
If the handle is locked, flip the lock/unlock switch
up to unlock.
3.
Hold handle with one hand.
4.
With the other hand, align side tabs on narrow end of plate
holder with corresponding notches in the handle. Slide plate
holder into the handle, push down gently and turn
clockwise until it locks securely in place.
5.
Repeat above steps for the other plate.
basic stYling
Place the iron on a flat surface that is resistant to heat, plug into
an electrical outlet and slide On/Off switch left. Red indicator
light illuminates. This appliance will heat up quickly so be
careful when handling it.
Allow iron to heat for 2-3 minutes to reach the ideal
styling temperature.
For best results start with clean dry hair.
This iron offers four types of styling plates for a variety of styles.
• Crimping and waving plates for adding textured
waves to hair
• Straightening plates help relax unruly curly hair
• Curved plates for soft curls and waves
1.
To select a plate, press and rotate the button at the end
of the plate holder until you see the desired plate and the
button is released.
Note: If the button stays locked in, the plate is not
positioned correctly.
2.
Repeat the same process for the other plate. Make sure
you choose the same type of plate.
3.
To style, work with hair sections that are no more
than 2" wide and 1/2" thick.
iMPoRtant:
Do not hold the product in one place
when in contat with hair for more than a few seconds.
Test a small section of your hair to determine your
particular styling time. Times will vary depending on
hair type, texture and condition.
4.
using straight or curved plates:
Starting about 1/2" from scalp place hair between the hot
plates for a few seconds and pull through hair, maintaining
some tension.
For a finishing touch, turn iron under just a half turn when
nearing end of hair.
Release pressure from handle and allow hair to slip out.
5.
using crimping or waving plates:
Starting about 1/2" from scalp place hair section between
the hot plates and press firmly for a few seconds. Release
pressure allowing hair to slip out. Move the appliance down
and repeat this process to achieve your desired look.
Do not crimp or wave over a previously styled section.
6.
When finished, lock the handle. Bring the plates together
and press the lock/unlock switch down until the handle
is locked.
detacHing Plates:
The plates are detachable for easy storage.
1.
Be sure unit is unplugged and plates are cool.
2.
Flip the lock/unlock switch up to unlock the handle.
3.
Hold iron with one hand and press the release button
on the handle.
4.
With the other hand, turn the plate holder counterclockwise
and pull straight out.
