SOLUTION
The iron is plugged in, but the
soleplate is cold.
There is a connection
problem.
Check whether the plug is inserted in the wall
socket.
The temperature setting has
been set to off.
Set the temperature setting to the required
temperature.
The iron does not produce
steam.
There is not enough water in
the tank.
Refill the tank.
The temperature setting is
not set to a steam position.
Rotate the temperature dial to the required
setting.
Water leaks from the soleplate. The temperature is not hot
enough.
Rotate the temperature dial to the required
setting for steam and wait until the light goes
out.
Flakes and impurities come out
from the soleplate during
ironing.
The water used is hard.
Fill the tank with 50% tap water and 50%
distilled water. Rotate the temperature dial to
the required setting for steam and wait until
the light goes out. Hold the iron over a sink
and press the extra steam button a few times.
This should flush the flakes out of the iron.
Turn off and allow cooling, and then wiping
the plate several times with a damp cloth to
remove any residues.
