5 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
CHANGING THE COVER RING
If the cover ring becomes covered in limescale or scratched,
it can be replaced with a new one. Replacement cover rings can
be purchased from Laufen or specialist dealers.
You will require a special tool to replace
the cover ring. The tool is supplied with the new cover ring.
Attach the special tool to the bottom edge of the cover ring.
There is an opening for the tool located there.
Gently push down the tool until the cover ring lifts
out of the snap retainer.
Use your other hand to prevent the cover ring from falling.
Lift out the cover ring completely and remove it.
Insert the top edge of the new cover ring and push
until it clicks into place. Make sure that the tool
opening is pointing downwards.
