spacers may need to be arranged until the deck is in the
proper level configuration.
Replacing Wheels
If one wheel is replaced, the wear level of the surrounding
tires may cause the deck to cant in one direction. Leveling
the decks after a tire replacement may be necessary. Spac
-
ers on the wheel yoke assembly may be rearranged to
accommodate the new tire. See Fig. 3-10. Additional or
replacement spacers may be obtained from your Lastec
dealer.
Height of Cut
DANGER!
Stop the tractor and disengage the
PTO before attempting to set or adjust the mower
deck height!
Never adjust the mower deck height with the trac
-
tor running or the PTO engaged.
Example: (1) 1” spacer and (2) 1/4” spacers placed
below the wheel yoke collars will set the mower
deck to 2 1/2”.
Change the mower deck height on the center rear decks by
moving the spacers on the deck height chains from below
There are 3 knurled spacers, each indicating 1” increments,
and 12 plain spacers, each indicating 1/4” increments.
When there are no spacers above the plate, the deck is set
at 1”. Placing any combination of wheel spacers above the
plate will raise the deck by the corresponding thickness of
the spacer(s) used.
Calibrate the height of cut using the adjustment chains.
1.
Set the spacers to the desired deck height.
2.
Measure from the bottom of the pan to the floor to ver
-
ify the setting.
3.
Adjust the turnbuckle in or out to calibrate the mea
-
surement with the spacer setting.
If optional anti-scalp wheels are present, use the height
adjustment holes in the anti-scalp brackets to adjust all the
anti-scalp wheels to one of the two available height adjust
-
ments as shown below.
