2.2 – Amplifying/ Speed–Up Electronic Circuit
The AH Series is provided with an electronics circuit , accessible by removing the head back cover,
which provides the amplification and speed-up of the sensor signal.
The units comes with preliminary settings already made at LaserPoint in order to minimize
additional work by the customer.
Trimmers P1 and P2 should not be touched by operators since both Electrical Offsets and the
Time Constant which governs the speed-up of signal have been optimized in house.
Should any modification be done, you are kindly requested to contact LaserPoint before .
Trimmer P3 sets the Gain and thus the correct final calibration of the head. If LaserPoint is
informed about the laser wavelength being used, a pre-setting is provided so that just the final
fine tuning has to be done. In case the information is missing or not provided, the pre-setting is
made at 1064nm.
The AH Series can be biased by a voltage source supplying from ± 7VdC to ± 12VdC (Fig. 2.3.1) or
by a 14 to 24 VdC source in a floating configuration (Fig. 2.3.2). In the first configuration the
common wire is also used as reference for the signal; in the second one signal and bias wires are
separated.
