• Make the floor point of the instrument aim at object point on the floor, turn top of the instrument
to adjust roughly vertical line to aim at object. Then turn fine adjustment mechanism to find
objects correctly.
• When the instrument inclines over ±3.5°, the laser line goes out automatically to issue an
alarm. Please adjust the three levelling screws to make the laser line shine.
• Select move to regulate mode, the instrument can be used in an inclined state.
6. Checking instrument before usage
When checking the instrument, keep off focus of a shake.
1) Checking perpendicular error of the upper point and floor point
• Select a plane-roof house, which ceiling height is 3m.
• Switch on the power. Select 4V operation mode
• Do a marking A at the upper point, and do a marking B at the floor point.
• Rotate the instrument 180°, and then make the floor point of the instrument to aim at point B on
the floor. Check error between the upper point and point A. Error margin is ± 2mm when the
ceiling height is 3m.
• If error margin is over ± 2mm, the instrument should be re-adjusted.
2) Checking the vertical plane
• Hang a plumb bob on the roof.
• Switch on the power. Select 4V operation mode.
• Make the vertical line of the instrument to aim at plumb line and check four vertical planes
respectively. It can be used if they are over lapped or lean error isn’t over the area of precision
requirement. Otherwise, the instrument should be re-adjusted.
3) Checking the horizontal plane
• Select a plane wall, and mark a level base line on the wall with a level. Set the instrument at
3m off the level base line.
• Switch on the power. Select 4H operation mode, make the horizontal line to aim at level base
line, and then rotate the instrument 180°, make the horizontal line aim at the plane wall. Read
out the error of the both. Error margin is ± 2mm when it is at 3m off the wall.
• If error margin is over ± 2mm, the instrument should be re-adjusted.
7. Steps for using the ramp function
1. After the instrument is turned on, light up the laser and press the ramp function key. The
instrument enters the ramp mode, and the yellow indicator light is always on.
2. Press H and V to control the positive and negative rotation of one motor, and adjust the
position of laser line in one direction.
3. If you need to adjust the position of the laser line in the other direction, you can press the D
button. At this time, press the H button and the V button to control the forward and reverse
rotation of the other motor, so as to adjust the position of the laser line in the other direction.
4. The above two steps may require repeated adjustments to achieve precise adjustment of the
laser line angle.
5. To exit the ramp mode, press the ramp key to exit.
In addition, because the working angle of the instrument is limited, if you need to use the oblique
line at a large angle, you can adjust it by adjusting the instrument base adjustment foot or the
tripod telescopic foot. (as shown)
8. Care and Maintenance
Do not attempt to open the instrument. Only qualified service personnel should repair or service
the instrument.
Do not drop, knock or shake the instrument to avoid changing precision.
Excessive discharge will damage the battery. Charge the battery once a month when not using it
for a long time.
Remove the battery when storing the instrument for a long time. Charge the battery as the time
given on. Over-charging for more specified time will shorten the battery life.
To clean the instrument, use a soft cloth with mild soap and dry.
Don’t use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
Do not store the instrument in dusty and dirty areas. To clean glass window, use lens tissue.
