5.7 Servicing the Head Electronics

Figure 42

1. Turn off power to the head.

2. Unthread the 14-pin connector for the

communication cable (PLCAB0489)
on the top of the height sensing unit
(PLHSU0073).

3. Unthread the tip transformer wire

(PLTTW0003) from the height sensing
unit.

4. Loosen the (4) M3 SHCS that secure

the height sensing unit to the head.

5. Remove the height sensing unit.

flat gasket (PLGSK0002).

7. Tighten the (4) M3 SHCS that secure

the height sensing unit to the head.

8. Thread the tip transformer wire onto

the height sensing unit.

9. Thread the 14-pin connector for the

communication cable onto the top of
the height sensing unit.

10. Set up the height sensing unit

according to

Section 4.3
