Lifting Cushion “AA”
3. START UP
Avoid angles over 30° in relation to the base. The cushion could be projecting.
If the base is smooth, use non‐sharp elements between the cushion and the ground. This will favour good adherence to the ground.
Valves AZN6101 and AZN6102 are devices used only for filling pressure lifting bags and pneumatic plugs.
1.
Before connecting the valve to inlet and outlet pipes, make sure that there is no dirt in tubes and coupling of the valve.
2.
Before first use of the valve, check it and its function following next steps:
‐
Connect the valve with a suitable supply pressure. Never exceed the maximum pressure allowed.
‐
Check the working of the valve (outlet couplers or plugs must be properly closed). Move the handle backward (filling) to let the
compressed air go through the valve to the outlet coupler.
‐
Move the handle forward to stop pressure supply. You can read the pressure on the gauge.
‐
To release the compressed air from the valve, unscrew the knurling nut on the release valve until the reading in the gauge is 0 bar.
‐
Before each use, it is necessary to fill the valve with pressure higher than working pressure and lower than maximum supply pressure
of the valve.
‐
After this checking, if the valve is correct, it is ready for use. If you find any fault in working or damage component, then, it cannot be
used.
3.
Connect the complete system (hose, lifting cushion and valve) and the valve to the air supply.
4.
Move the handle backward to let the compressed air go through the valve to the outlet coupler and fill the cushion to the desired pressure.
5.
Move the handle forward to stop pressure supply. The cushion remains filled up under pressure. You can read the pressure on the gauge.
6.
To release the pressure, unscrew the knurling nut on the release valve. It can be released to a lower pressure or to 0 bar.
7.
If you screw the knurling nut on the release valve back before pressure is 0 bar, the release of pressure is interrupted and the cushion will
remain under pressure.
A
maximum of 2 cushions can be stacked
. To perform the raising operation, the lower cushion, which is used as a base, must be fully inflated
first, and then the upper cushion should be inflated carefully.
Never start inflating the upper cushion if the lower cushion is deflated.
To deflate the cushions, make the process in reverse order: first deflate the upper cushion before start deflating the upper cushion.
Never
deflate the lower cushion before or at the same time than upper cushion.
4. MAINTENANCE
The main cause of failures in lifting cushion is due to the dirt. For that reason, clean the valve and its connections periodically and after each use.
After each use, clean the cushion using slightly soapy water without detergent, rinse and dry the cushion. Then, check the integrity of the
external surface and any excessive deformation (creases, bubbles, cuts).
In case of doubt, do not use the product and contact LARZEP.
Storage the full equipment in dry and clean places and avoid extreme conditions of temperature. The cushion must be stored deflated, flat in its
packing.
At least once per year, inflate the cushion to a pressure of 0.5 bar. Check the absence of defects (cracking, cuts,…). If no damage is detected,
increase the pressure to 4 bar and repeat the inspection.
Before any intervention (change spare parts), make sure that the valve or system is not under pressure.
PROBLEMS
DAMAGES
SOLUTION
‐ It does not maintain the load.
‐ Dirt in the air connection, that finishes
stagnating in the check valve.
‐ Make sure that the hose; or the device to
connect they, are cleaned.
‐ The cushion does not loose pressure.
‐ The air does not return because the filter of
the silencer is dirty.
‐ Unscrew the silencer and clean/replace
filter.
‐ The cushion does not inflate completely.
‐ The inlet air pressure of the cushion is smaller
than 8 bar.
‐ Verify the working pressure, it must be 8 bar.
