HID-22-SL-
480V
MAINTENANCE
Caution:
To avoid personal injury, disconnect power to the light and allow the unit to cool down before performing
maintenance.
Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspections on a regular basis. We recommend routine checks to be made on
a yearly basis. Frequency of use and environment should determine this. It is recommended to follow an Electrical
Preventive Maintenance Program as described in NFPA 70B: Recommended practice for Electrical Equipment.
The lens should be cleaned periodically as needed to ensure continued photometric performance. Clean the lens with a
damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If not sufficient, use mild soap or a liquid cleaner.
Do not operate if the lens is cracked or damaged. All fasteners should be properly seated.
BULB CHANGE
The lens is held on by 3 removable clips and a hinge on one side that allows it to swing open. To change the bulb, first
remove the 3 clips by pulling them out away from the fixture from the back side of the fixture. This will free the lens to be
able to swing open via the hinge. There is a rubber gasket around the edge of the lens, so some light prying may be
necessary. Take care not to damage this gasket when opening. Remove the bulb by turning counter-clockwise until it is
free of the socket, and replace with a new bulb by turning it into the socket clockwise until firmly seated. Close the lens,
pressing evenly around the edge to seat the rubber gasket back in place, and replace the removable clips to hold in
place.
