Low Voltage DC
Connect power to power supply outputting low voltage between
12-48
Volts DC.
This variable voltage allows greater versatility without affecting light output. Ensure
deutsch connectors are properly connected (If applicable)
SOLAR PANELS
The two, 150-watt solar panels operate on 12V (nominal) with a module efficiency rate of 14.6 percent. At maximum power,
the units offer 18.1V and a current of 8.3A. Featuring a Class C application class, the modules come with a 20A maximum
fuse rating. The lightweight units weigh 26.5 lbs and measure 59.4" x 26.5" x 2". IEC and UL certified, the solar panels are
designed to withstand rugged, outdoor environments.
The frame is constructed of silver anodized aluminum, while the back cover is made out of white polyester for insulation. For
extra protection, the front cover is constructed of high transmission glass (1/8" thick). The hazardous location solar panel
comes with a sturdy J-type junction box with accessible terminals for connections to other components of the solar-powered
system. A total of four terminal screw connection blocks is available, capable of accepting 8-14 AWG wires.
BATTERY BANK/CHARGE CONTROLLER
This system is equipped with two, 100aH SLA batteries at 200aH capacity and 100aH usable. Inside the enclosure,
operators are provided access to an MPPT charge controller. Capable of operating at 99% peak efficiency, this component
features a maximum battery current of 60 amps. The 4-stage charge controller can handle bulk, absorption, float and
equalize charging stages. Protective features include the following: Overload, Short Circuit, High Voltage, High Temperature,
Lightning/Transient Surges, Reverse Current @ Night. The controller is supported by an included remote battery sensor. For
connections to the controller, the following communication ports are available: MeterBus, RS-232, EIA-485, Ethernet, EMC-1.
The batteries, MPPT charge controller and low voltage protection device are housed inside a Class I, Division 2 enclosure.
The NEMA 3R enclosure is constructed of aluminum and stainless steel. A total of six, 3/4" NPT hubs can be found at the
bottom of the unit during installation.
MAINTENANCE
Caution:
To avoid personal injury, disconnect power to the
unit
and allow the unit to cool down before performing maintenance.
Warning:
No user serviceable parts inside of fixture. Risk of electric shock. Removal of the lens will void the warranty.
1.
Perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspections on a regular basis. We recommend routine
checks to be made on a
yearly basis. Frequency of use and environment should determine this. It is
recommended to follow an Electrical Preventive
Maintenance Program as described in NFPA 70B:
Recommended practice for Electrical Equipment.
2.
The lens should be cleaned periodically as needed to ensure continued photometric performance.
Clean the lens with a
damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If not sufficient, use mild soap or a liquid
cleaner.
3.
Inspect the cooling fins on the luminaire to ensure that they are free of any obstructions or
contamination (i.e. excessive
dust build-up). Clean with a non-abrasive cloth if needed.
4.
Do not operate if the lens is cracked or damaged. All fasteners should be properly seated.
USE AND CARE
Unauthorized modification may impair the function and/or safety of this device and could affect the life of the equipment.
Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using the device. Store it in a secure place out of the reach of
children when not in use. Inspect for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use.
