150W Explosion Proof High Bay LED Dock Light
Instruction Manual
This explosion proof light is designed for illumination of industrial locations. It uses the latest in
solid state lighting technology for long life, low maintenance and high efficiency.
The unique design focuses the light where it is needed, giving improved efficiency over a
conventional HID luminaire.
An internal, universal input, power-factor-corrected switch-mode supply allows it to be used from any
nominal 100-277V AC 50/60 Hz power supply without any variation in light output.
WARNING
To avoid the risk of fire, explosion or electric shock, this product should be installed, inspected
and maintained by a qualified electrician only, in accordance with all applicable electrical codes.
To avoid electric shock:
•
Be certain electrical power is OFF before and during installation and maintenance.
•
Luminaire must be connected to a wiring system with an equipment-grounding conductor.
To avoid explosion:
•
Make sure the supply voltage is within the luminaires’ voltage rating.
•
Ensure the marked T rating is less than the ignition temperature of the Hazardous
Atmosphere.
•
Do not operate in ambient temperatures above those indicated on the luminaire nameplate.
•
Do not operate if the lens is cracked or damaged. All fasteners should be properly seated.
For supply connections, use wire rated for at least 110°C
Recommended mounting height is 25-40 feet.
MOUNTING/ADJUSTMENT
The high output LED light head is mounted to an adjustable two-part swing arm that measures four
feet long and is constructed of lightweight aluminum. The two piece arm design provides two pivot
points, one at the mounting bracket and one in the center of the swing arm. The aluminum swing arm
swings 170° from the mounting bracket point and 340° from the center pivot point, while the light head
is vertically adjustable up to 270°, providing full adjustability for this 150 Watt explosion proof LED
fixture and allows users to position the light as needed during operations. This switch blade swing
arm can be mounted with the light head oriented on the top side or bottom side of the arm, allowing
operators to illuminate objects in any location. This swing arm is ideal also for mounting the unit to
loading door areas and docks for use as a loading bay or dock light. Utilize the predrilled mounting
holes and capable screws/bolts for mounting to a sturdy surface. Ensure cord does not get pinched
while adjusting swing arm.
