MOUNTING
The fan includes
an aluminum frame floor mount
, pre-installed from factory.
In some cases, the fan will be
removed from the base for shipping.
This requires the fan be re-installed to the base before operation.
Mounting hardware will be attached to the mounting plate on the base. Remove the hardware to expose the
mounting holes. We recommend having 2 people complete the installation of the fan onto the base, as it can
be heavy and awkward to hold while installing the mounting hardware. Align the holes in the mounting bracket
on the fan to the holes in the mounting plate on the base, then re-install the mounting hardware and secure
the fan tightly to the base.
Place the fan in the desired location and run
power cord to compatible receptacle. Fan should be placed on a
flat surface, and can be permanently mounted with user provided hardware through holes in the base of the
mount
,
if so desired.
Ensure all safety requirements are followed for the hazardous area.
The fan head can be adjusted by loosening the
hardware at the adjustment point, tilting to desired angle, and
tightening hardware back down to hold the fan head in place.
LUBRICATION
This motor is equipped with pre-lubricated ball bearings. The original supply of lubricant is kept free of dirt, grit
or outside contamination by the bearing closures and does not require replenishment for the life of the bearing
under normal operating conditions.
MAINTENANCE
It is recommended that you implement a standard monthly or more frequent preventive maintenance
schedule. Safety requires a thorough visual examination of the unit for physical damage that might cause a
spark or result in the ignition of hazardous atmospheres.
Maintenance includes a careful examination to ensure at least:
A.
The Cable is not frayed and is gripping tightly in all points of cable contact.
B.
The Cable Jacket is completely intact and that no internal conductors or conductor insulation
is exposed.
C.
The Connection Box is not cracked, broken or breeched.
D.
The Cord Plug is not cracked or damaged and the Ground Post is intact.
Keeping blades clean and free of material splatter, overspray, and debris during usage will ensure the
maximum life of the fan. An accumulation of dirt may cause blade vibration and motor overload. Occasionally
check tightness of blade set screws.
NOTE:
Handle the propeller carefully as it is factory balanced and aligned to ensure smooth operation.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Refer to the guide below or contact the manufacturer if the fixture does not function properly.
Is the correct line voltage being supplied?
Is the fan properly grounded?
Make sure installed power switch is functioning properly (if applicable).
