At any time, the role of the left and right arrow keys, as well
as the means to change it, are indicated in the lower portion
of the display, as shown in FIGURE 9-6.

When the left/right arrow symbols appear to the left of
Record
, as in FIGURE 9-5, pressing the left or right arrow
key moves the cursor left or right, respectively, selecting a
different record to be displayed.
The text “Enter->Change Metrics” indicates that pressing

changes the role of these keys to stepping through the
metrics while the record number remains the same. Doing so
changes the lower portion of the display to that shown in
FIGURE 9-7.

When the left/right arrow symbols appear to the left of one
of the user-selected metrics, pressing the left or right arrow
key backward or forward, through the list of measured
metrics, changes the display accordingly.
