8.1 Daily Cleaning
•
Empty the grease drawer daily or whenever it is 3/4 full. It is easily removed
for washing.
•
Keep the griddle surface clean. After each cooking load, scrape the griddle
surface to remove any carbonized grease.
•
Once a day or when necessary the griddle surface should be thoroughly
cleaned and seasoned again. Use a griddle stone, griddle pad, or liquid cleaner.
Rub with the grain of the metal, being careful not to scrape the splash guard.
8.2 Weekly Cleaning
•
A mild detergent with water or one of the many commercial cleaners may be
used. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and coat the griddle with a thin film of oil to
prevent rusting.
•
Clean the exterior of the appliance with hot water and a mild detergent to
maintain a gleaming appearance.
•
Reseason the griddle plate after each cleaning.
