Brush Agitator Installation,
Optional
IMPORTANT
Before proceeding with brush agitator installation,
be sure to determine the direction of shaft rotation
on your particular seeder model. Direction of rotation
is not the same on all models due to transmission
differences. Check seed compatibility, not all
varieties work with brush agitators. Mixtures
containing clover, alfalfa, timothy or other small
seeded varieties will destroy brushes. See
Figure 2-36.
NOTE
The standard Agitator Box Kit comes with blade
agitators. Optional brush or cage agitators are also
available.

Agitators are installed in Brillion Seeders as follows:
1. Remove two bolts which hold retainer plate and
bearing on right end of right seed box.
2. Slide both shafts out of right end.
3. See the above Shaft Rotation diagram.

Figures 2-36 and 2-39 . Brush/Blade agitators must
be installed with careful attention to the direction of
shaft rotation. The brushes must face backward,
away from rotation to wipe over the seed openings.
Install 4C488 washers
to hold bushing in box
