CAUTION
Field Operation
The Brillion Aerator can be pulled behind a tractor or
other implements to aerate the ground by putting slots in
the ground to improve the absorption of water and loosen
the soil to improve root growth.
To prepare the machine for field use it may be necessary
to extend the cylinder rod slightly to remove the
Transport Lock Pin from the locked position to the
storage position.
See Figure 3-4.
During field
operation,
it is not necessary to raise the machine when making
turns, but turns should be made wide. Slow down when
operating on rocky soil.
Transporting
To prepare the machine for transport, hitch Aerator to
desired device, lower Jack and pin it up out of the way.
Raise the machine fully. Remove the Transport Lock Pin
from the storage position and install the Transport Pin in
the locked position.
See Figure 3-4
.
Parking the Aerator
The best way to park the Aerator is to place the machine
in the desired location. Once there, remove the Transport
Lock Pin from the locked position to the storage position.
Lower the machine to the ground. Place blocks in front
and behind the Aerator Rotor to prevent it from rolling
when unhitched. Lower the Jack and adjust height of
drawbar to allow for unhitching. Unhitch the Aerator.
If you must park the Aerator in transport position, start by
placing the Jack in the Swivel closet to the Hitch. Place
Blocking in front and behind the Transport Wheels to
prevent rolling when unhitched. Adjust the Jack height to
allow for unhitching. Unhitch the Aerator.

Be sure to install the transport lock pin any time
the Aerator is being pulled or stored in the
transport position.
