3-8 PURGING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
3-8.1
Plug the hydraulic hoses into the tractor.
3-8.2
Check hydraulic oil level in tractor, a
large quantity of oil will be required to fill the
system on the Weatherproofer.
3-8.3
Remove the pins at the rod end of the
wing fold cylinders and cycle the cylinders
full stroke six to eight times to remove
trapped air, replace pins.
3-8.4
Extend lift cylinders and hold tractor
lever in the extend position for two to three
minutes to purge the lift cylinders. If the unit
lowers or lifts with a chattering when the
tractor is at half throttle, repeat the purge of
the lift cylinders.
CAUTION
BE SURE TO BLEED THE HYDRAULIC
SYSTEM OF ALL AIR IN LINES AFTER
INSTALLATION. FAILURE TO BLEED
THE SYSTEM OF ALL AIR CAN RE-
SULT IN IMPROPER MACHINE OPERA-
TION.
