Assembly Instructions

Folding ROPS Bar Assembly
Refer to Figure 2:
1.
Do not remove 1/2" hydraulic hoses (#14) from
expansion tanks (#13).Unsrew hex nuts (#12) and
move expansion tanks (#13) to the side.
2.
Do not remove rear bumper (#11) from mower frame.
Remove existing bumper bolts (#5B).
3.
Insert lower right hand ROPS tube (#9) in mounting
bracket “A”. Make sure hinge at the top faces back.
4.
From the rear, insert 1/2" x 3 1/4" GR5 hex head cap
screw (#5B) through mounting bracket “A” and
ROPS tube (#9) as shown. Secure with 1/2" lock
nut (#6B). Draw lock nut up snug, do not tighten.
5.
From the front, insert 1/2" x 3 1/4" GR5 hex head cap
screw (#5A) through mounting bracket “A” and
ROPS tube (#9) as shown. Secure with 1/2" lock
nut (#6A). Draw lock nut up snug, do not tighten.
6.
Repeat steps 3, 4 & 5 above to install lower left hand
ROPS tube (#8) in mounting bracket “B”.
7.
Attach upper ROPS tube (#10) to lower right ROPS
tube (#9) with 1/2" x 3 1/4" GR5 cap screw (#5) and
hex lock nut (#7). Draw hex lock nut (#7) up snug, do
not tighten.
8.
Attach upper ROPS tube (#10) and ROPS stop (#3)
to the lower left ROPS tube (#8) with 1/2" x 3 3/4"
GR5 cap screw (#4) and hex lock nut (#7). Draw hex
lock nut (#8) up snug, do not tighten.
9.
Tighten hex lock nuts (#6A & #6B) to 76 ft-lbs.
10. Rotate ROPS loop end (#10) up and insert locking
pins (#2). Secure locking pins with hair pin clips
attached to locking pins.
11. Install locking knobs (#1) and hand tighten.
12. Reattach expansion tanks (#13) to side plates with
existing hex flange top lock nuts (#12). Tighten hex
flange top lock nuts (#12) to 8 ft-lbs.
