6. Carefully check cutting edges of blades in relation to
blade carrier rotation to ensure correct blade
placement. Cutter blades must be installed with
cutting edge leading in rotation
.
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
A locknut that has been removed can lose its thread locking
properties. Reusing a used locknut can result in a thrown
blade. Always use a new locknut when installing blades.
7.
Insert 1-8 X 4 1/2" PLT GR8 bolt (#4) through blade
bushings (#2), flat washers (#3), blades (#6 & #5)
and blade carrier (#7) as shown. Secure blades with
a
new locknut (#1)
and torque to 450 ft-lbs
(7320 Nm).
8. Reconnect main driveline to tractor power take-off.
IMPORTANT:
Examine blade bolts, blade bushings
and flat washers for excessive wear and replace if
worn.

Before each use of the cutter, check that all shredder
components and baffles are present, undamaged and in
working order. Replace any damage or missing
components as needed. Order only genuine Land Pride
parts from your local Land Pride dealer.
